If you can see some liner hanging down outside the pool you need the overlap kind. If you can see some tracking under to rail on the inside of the pool you need a beaded type. To install the 21-ft. round overlap pool liner first remove the top rail from right the way around the pool. Then place it in the pool, draping it over the top of the walls. Next fit the plastic clips over the top wall and liner to hold it in place. Replace the top rail and finally trim off the excess material that is left hanging down on the pool’s exterior.

If you have determined that you need a beaded style pool liner replacement, the installation will be different from that of the overlap. Look for the groove, or lip, that goes round the uppermost edge of the liner and for the track that goes along the inside of the pool, at the top. You will then need to snap th groove into the track. Generally it’s easier to replace a beaded liner than an overlap one and to get the pattern to lie correctly when the bead is in position.
